Jack Slotnick
Jack Slotnick, an 84-year-old, Purple Heart veteran, enrolled as Lynn University's oldest freshman in 2010. Jack had an inspirational story to tell. I pitched his story to both local and national outlets.
Storytelling is one of the most successful PR tactics a business can use to increase engagement and enhance its brand. After my first interview with him, I knew Jack's story had the potential to be more than a local mention. With its cross-generational appeal, his story was first picked up by the Sun-Sentinel. It then hit the AP wire and I began receiving calls from NBC News, Fox and CNN, among other outlets. Jack went on to graduate from Lynn University with his undergraduate degree in 2011 and his masters degree in 2013.
